Product Description
Azithromycin is a Semisynthesis fifteen membered ring Macrolide antibiotic. White or almost white crystalline powder; No odor, bitter taste; Slightly hygroscopic. This product is easily soluble in methanol, acetone, chloroform, anhydrous ethanol or dilute hydrochloric acid, but almost insoluble in water.
Applications
1. Acute pharyngitis and acute Tonsillitis caused by Streptococcus pyogenes.
2. Acute attack of Sinusitis, Otitis media, Acute bronchitis and chronic bronchitis caused by sensitive bacteria.
3. Pneumonia caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae and Mycoplasma pneumoniae.
4. Urethritis and Cervicitis caused by chlamydia trachomatis and non multidrug resistant neisseria gonorrhoeae.
5. Skin and soft tissue infections caused by sensitive bacteria.
Precautions
1. Eating can affect the absorption of Azithromycin, so it needs to be taken orally 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals.
2. Dose adjustment is not required for patients with mild renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance>40ml/min), but there is no data on the use of azithromycin Erythromycin in patients with more severe renal insufficiency. Care should be taken when giving azithromycin Erythromycin to these patients.
3. Since the hepatobiliary system is the main way of Azithromycin excretion, it should be used with caution in patients with liver dysfunction, and should not be used in patients with severe liver disease. Regularly follow up on liver function during medication.
4. If allergic reactions occur during the medication period (such as angioneurotic edema, skin reactions, Stevens Johnson syndrome, and toxic epidermal necrosis), the medication should be stopped immediately and appropriate measures should be taken.
5. During treatment, if the patient experiences symptoms of diarrhea, pseudomembranous enteritis should be considered. If the diagnosis is established, appropriate treatment measures should be taken, including maintaining water, electrolyte balance, protein supplementation, etc.
