Product Description
Household harmless piperonyl butoxide (PBO) is an organic compound used as a component of Pesticide formulations. It is a waxy white solid. It is a workable Synergist . That is, despite having no pesticidal activity of its own, it enhances the potency of certain pesticides such as carbamates, pyrethrins, pyrethroids, and Rotenone. It is a semisynthetic derivative of safrole.
Solubility: Insoluble in water, but soluble in many organic solvents including mineral oil and dichlorodifluoro-methane.
Stability:Light and ultraviolet ray stable, hydrolysis resistant, not corrosive.
Toxicity:Acute oral LD50to rats is more than 11500mg/kg Acute oral LD50to rats is 1880mg/kg.The long-term safe absorption amount for men is 42ppm.
Uses: Piperonyl butoxide (PBO) is one of the most outstanding synergists to increase pesticide effectiveness. Not only it can obviously increase pesticide`s effect more than ten times, but also it can extend its effect period. PBO is widely used in agriculture, family health and storage protection. It is the only authorized super-effect Insecticide used in food hygiene (food production) by the UN Hygiene Organization.
