New laboratory gloves from Kimberly-Clark Professional.

Microorganisms can be carried into laboratory processes by operators, and while reducing human presence in critical areas can help, there are other ways that can help.
One of the best ways to minimize risk to humans is to protect the environment from both living and non-living particles by wearing appropriate clothing.
Kimberly-Clark Professional, a provider of workplace hygiene solutions, has launched Kimtech Polaris Nitrile Gloves to protect scientists and the environment.
Made with a proprietary nitrile formula and high quality nitrile, the gloves are designed for use in laboratories, life sciences and non-sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing environments. They have been tested against 29 common chemicals1 and 24 chemotherapy drugs2.
The glove’s fingertip texture and smooth surface minimize human error and prevent falls and breakage, even when the gloves are wet.
Even in harsh conditions, scientists are protected. These gloves bridge the lab coat gap and offer enhanced chemical splash protection (Type B (JKOPT)) and enhanced chemotherapy splash protection.
The gloves also prioritize comfort, as demonstrated by US Ergonomics Certification, which indicates that the gloves provide measurable ergonomic benefits by promoting comfort and fit while minimizing risk factors for injury.
