The Application of Cefixime

1. It has a synergistic antibacterial effect on certain sensitive strains when used in combination with aminoglycoside antibiotics.
2. It has been reported that aspirin may increase the plasma concentration of cefixime.
3. Combined use with aminoglycosides or other cephalosporins will increase nephrotoxicity.
4. Combined use with strong diuretics such as furosemide can enhance nephrotoxicity.
5. There may be mutual antagonism with chloramphenicol.
6. Probenecid can prolong the excretion of cefixime and increase the blood concentration.

drug-drug interactions

1. Carbamazepine: When combined with this product, the level of carbamazepine may increase. If combined use is necessary, the concentration of carbamazepine in the plasma should be monitored.
2. Warfarin and anticoagulant drugs: increase the prothrombin time when combined with this product.
3. This product may cause intestinal bacterial disorder and inhibit vitamin K synthesis.
