The disposal of household hazardous substances and pesticides will come into force on March 2.

       COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Department of Agriculture and York County will host a household hazardous materials and pesticide collection event near the York Moss Justice Center.
        This collection is for residents only; goods from enterprises are not accepted. The collection of household materials is open to York County residents only. Residents and farmers in every county in South Carolina can collect unwanted and unused pesticides. Personnel will be on site to monitor the collection and disposal of pesticides and make final decisions on product acceptance.
       The Household Hazardous Materials collection event is funded through a partnership between the South Carolina Department of Agriculture and York County Government.
        NASHVILLE — Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) mobile home hazardous waste collection services will be available Saturday, Oct. 21 in Carter and Sumner counties.
