Piperonyl butoxide Pyrethroid Insecticide Synergist in Stock
Product Description
Piperonyl butoxide (PBO) is colorless or light yellow organic compound used as a component of Pesticide formulations.Despite having no pesticidal activity of its own, it enhances the potency of certain pesticides such as carbamates, pyrethrins, pyrethroids, and Rotenone .It is a semisynthetic derivative of safrole.Piperonyl butoxide (PBO) is one of the most outstanding synergists to increase pesticide effectiveness. Not only it can obviously increase pesticide`s effect more than ten times, but also it can extend its effect period.
Application
PBO is widely used in agriculture, family health and storage protection. It is the only authorized super-effect Insecticide used in food hygiene (food production) by the UN Hygiene Organization. It is a unique tank additive that restores activity against resistant strains of insects. It acts by inhibiting naturally occurring enzymes that would otherwise degrade the insecticide molecule.
Mode of Action
Piperonyl butoxide can enhance the insecticidal activity of pyrethroids and various insecticides such as pyrethroids, rotenone, and carbamates. It also has synergistic effects on fenitrothion, dichlorvos, chlordane, trichloromethane, atrazine, and can improve the stability of pyrethroid extracts. When using housefly as the control object, the synergistic effect of this product on fenpropathrin is higher than that of octachloropropyl ether; But in terms of knockdown effect on houseflies, cypermethrin cannot be synergized. When used in mosquito repellent incense, there is no synergistic effect on permethrin, and even the efficacy is reduced.
