Agriculture Chemical Plant Growth Hormone Paclobutrazol

Paclobutrazol (PBZ) is a Plant Growth Regulator and triazole Fungicide. It is a known antagonist of the plant hormone gibberellin. It acts by inhibiting gibberellin biosynthesis, reducing internodial growth to give stouter stems, increasing root growth, causing early fruitset and increasing seedset in plants such as tomato and pepper.

Usage

1. Cultivating strong seedlings in rice: The best medication period for rice is the one leaf, one heart period, which is 5-7 days after sowing. The appropriate dosage of 15% paclobutrazol wettable powder is 3 kilograms per hectare with 1500 kilograms of water added (i.e. 200 grams of paclobutrazol per hectare with 100 kilograms of water added). The water in the seedling field is dried, and the seedlings are evenly sprayed. The concentration of 15% paclobutrazol is 500 times the liquid (300ppm). After treatment, the plant elongation rate slows down, achieving the effects of controlling growth, promoting tillering, preventing seedling failure, and strengthening seedlings.

2. Cultivate strong seedlings in the three leaf stage of rape seedlings, use 600-1200g of 15% paclobutrazol wettable powder per hectare, and add 900kg of water (100-200Chemicalbookppm) to spray the stems and leaves of rape seedlings, to promote chlorophyll synthesis, improve photosynthetic rate, reduce sclerotinia disease, enhance resistance, increase pods and yield.

3. To prevent the soybean from growing faster than the initial flowering stage, 600-1200 grams of 15% paclobutrazol wettable powder per hectare, 900 kg of water (100-200 ppm), and the liquid spray the stem and leaf of soybean seedlings to control the length, increase pods and yield.

4. Wheat growth control and seed dressing with suitable depth of Paclobutrazol have a strong seedling, increased tillering, reduced height, and increased yield effect on wheat. Mix 20 grams of 15% paclobutrazol wettable powder with 50 kilograms of wheat seeds (i.e. 60ppm), with a plant height reduction rate of about 5% in Chemicalbook. It is suitable for early sowing wheat fields with a depth of 2-3 centimeters, and should be used when the seed quality, soil preparation, and moisture content are good. At present, machine sowing is widely used in production, and it may affect the emergence rate when the sowing depth is difficult to control, so it is not suitable to use it.
